Happymodel Mobula 7 Review and Test
14/02/2019 03:55
I am really looking to receiving the Happymodel Mobula7 “Power Whoop”, The Winter in the UK makes flying FPV quite hard for a number of reasons (not only the cold weather but also the wind rain and snow), I can’t wait to get more stick time with one of this new breed of Power Whoops. This year however instead of their trusty 1s brushed they have had for the last few years, they now have a totally different set of beasts available to them: 2s Brushless Whoops, lovingly called “Power Whoops”. |
Brushless Whoop Emax Tinyhawk Review
08/02/2019 03:26
Emax is an FPV company that need no introduction. Since dominating races in 2016 with their original Red Bottom motors they have moved on to design some incredible BNF quads such as the Hawk 5 and Babyhawk models. The Tinyhawk is Emax's take on the TinyWhoop where they have literally turned the idea upside down and created something from the ground up. Let's get into Tinyhawk Review and Flight Test: |
BetaFPV 75x 2s Tiny Whoop Review
18/01/2019 07:37
This was my first adventure into the world of 2s whoops, and the Beta 75x did not disappoint! I was immediately happier with the box it showed up in. I know it seems small, but if you've ever received a half smashed drone box in the mail, you will be happier with the box as it is much sturdier. The Quad came with a single Betafpv 2s 350Mah battery and an extra set of propellers. I would highly recommend purchasing extra batteries with this thing; who can get by with just one battery? The frame is nice and sturdy and has already held up to a few good hits. |
Tattu FunFly LiPo Review: Perfect for Daily Practice & Freestyle
08/12/2018 03:33
GensTattu recently launched a new product line, called “FunFly”. Unlike the “R-Line”, it is available only in 4S version and with two capacities. Both, FunFly 1300mAh and FunFly 1550mAh are 100C rated. In the past, we already reviewed the couple of Tattu LiPos, including the R-Line HV 1550mAh 100C and now it’s time to have a closer look at the new Fun Fly series. GensAce claims that their new Tattu Funfly series was specifically designed for daily training and freestyle, which requires medium performance. In order to allow long service time (many charging cycles) it has standard LiPo cells (~3.7V) not high voltage ones (~3.85V) ones. |

Gens Ace 6000mAh 2S 100C Lipo - Big Power
06/06/2018 09:09
Back when NiMH and NiCad ruled the battery market, you knew what kind of cells you were buying. Sanyo and Panasonic were the two main cell manufacturers, and anyone selling batteries obtained them from those two sources. NiMH and NiCad had characteristics that you could use to your advantage or disadvantage, but you knew what you were getting. LiPo batteries have changed the market, often for the better but sometimes, not so much. Their run time, power, and price have all been great for the hobby, but a drawback is that you don't know who made the cells inside that black case. This isn't necessarily terrible, but as a consumer, I'd like to know who makes what I'm buying- mostly because if the battery isn't good, I don't want to buy it again from a different company that has only rebranded it. |
The New RS batteries Tesing from Gensace
24/05/2018 04:25
So this weekend we were in Otterville for the O Town cup series race #1 this is the kick off to our outdoor season and mother nature was not on board. I was given the opportunity to test out the new RS spec batteries from Gensace. So to make things fair I wanted to get a baseline on my current Gensace 7200mah 70c battery. I am very familiar with this battery since I have been running it for the last 2 years with no issues so to say the least I was very excited to be picked to try out the new RS spec. So the vehicle of choice was a TLR SCTE 3.0 with a tekin gen3 esc and 4600kv motor mated with a savox 1258 black edition servo. |
